Headline Dress

Oversized gold trench dress with bespoke 1971 newspaper artwork created in-house at Common Hours, cut by hand and made in Australia from featherweight silk blend lamé developed and printed in Como, Italy. 

The bespoke print was created in-house for Common Hours, and features a selection of newspaper clippings from 1971 London, as well as vintage and contemporary clippings from New York and Australia.

Headline features exaggerated sleeves and a dramatic hem circumference, an oversized storm flap and notch collar, and a matching belt. Offered unlined for weightless movement, it is finished with self binding and French seam finishes for inside-out perfection. Patch pockets with side entry and a centre back split complete this piece.
