A signature, best-selling Common Hours silhouette in a bespoke fabrication, the McDuff's Wife dress is inspired by remote Scottish highlands. Crafted from custom-designed gingham wool blend suiting milled by Bonotto, the Veneto mill famed as ‘the slow factory’ for its artisanal, art-led approach to weaving, the fabric is fully recycled and REACH compliant: dry, crisp and lightweight, with the cool handle of fine suiting.

Cut by hand and made in Australia, McDuff's Wife features a long, boxy silhouette with asymmetrically tucked front and deep back-neck tuck for volume. Exaggerated tucked-and-gathered inset sleeves with under-sleeve cut-outs are a feature of the dress: the sleeves can be styled on or off the arm for a cape-like effect. McDuff's Wife is unlined and finished with French seams and hem band finishes for inside-out perfection. Inseam side pockets add a sense of relaxed ease white deep side seam splits bring movement and drama to the piece. Finished with a button closure with custom handmade resin shank buttons and wide matching waist tie to customise the silhouette.
